It is actually Oregon grape or the Latin name is Mahonia. It fools me every time.

Why Butterfly?
Butterflies are known for their unusual life cycle that includes a spectacular metamorphosis from caterpillar to a colorful winged adult. They have an erratic yet graceful flight pattern that attracts attention when they pass. The Ancient Greek word for butterfly is psȳchē, which means soul. I particularly admire their symmetry and kaleidoscope of colors.

I heard I missed you on Sunday! I was pretty sick, my boys were napping and I had laid down on the couch to rest myself and Ryan came home from church.
He said "You were missed, people asked about you: Sam, Sally, the Loftuses..." I sat up and asked "Sally?" "Yeah, Sally and Kelly Anderson..." He said it like it was no big deal!!
Then I reminded him that you had moved to California!!
So, I'm sorry I missed seeing you. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, enjoyed the snow, and had fun seeing your family.
