Green Bridges

We made a trip to a corn maze and pumpkin patch. We had a blast and learned quite a few new things. For example, barley is not just good for making beer. John showed us that it is exceptionally tasty as well by devouring it by the handful. The barley also made a wonderful sandbox, or barleybox, I guess. So much fun to play in. John also proved his love for corn by trying to eat a stalk. Clara made a new friend named Rose. She is getting really good at making new friends! We came home with a lot of barley in our shoes, and four ginormous pumpkins(that only cost a dollar a piece!!!).

More Faces

These photo remind me of some photos I took of her when she was just 5 months old. At the time I considerd her so anmiated and expressive. Maybe she has just refinded the skill?

"Oh no! Not more leaf photos"

Says Kelly.
Clara chose these on a walk up to Silver Falls.

Detroit Lake

Ahhh the great outdoors. Our family doesn't often venture far from the warmth of our beds; in fact, this was the first time we attempted it. We arrived late after dark, set up camp, and had a great time preventing 3rd degree burns around the fire with the kids. The morning brought photo opportunities so that I didn't mind John waking me up early. I was amazed at the number of mushrooms that were all over and how many colors there were. A drug addicts dream come true. The first photo is my attempt to document someone receiving revelation while fishing, which is very appropriate as it is conference weekend.
