Ahhh the great outdoors. Our family doesn't often venture far from the warmth of our beds; in fact, this was the first time we attempted it. We arrived late after dark, set up camp, and had a great time preventing 3rd degree burns around the fire with the kids. The morning brought photo opportunities so that I didn't mind John waking me up early. I was amazed at the number of mushrooms that were all over and how many colors there were. A drug addicts dream come true. The first photo is my attempt to document someone receiving revelation while fishing, which is very appropriate as it is conference weekend.
Butterflies are known for their unusual life cycle that includes a spectacular metamorphosis from caterpillar to a colorful winged adult. They have an erratic yet graceful flight pattern that attracts attention when they pass. The Ancient Greek word for butterfly is psȳchē, which means soul. I particularly admire their symmetry and kaleidoscope of colors.
