Mancala

 Clara and John have been having a great time playing our two mancala boards. They tend to have unusual strategies like trying to get two in every well, or try to get one well completely full. I am not sure how much rule following is going on, but they get along and have a good time.

Food Storage

John has been putting the food storage to an unorthodox use. Designs!

Tomatoes

Sadly, a lot of our tomato plants, beans and peas have been nibbled by deer. However, we are starting to produce some produce.

I am enjoying my new camera, lens, and software. Big changes after 8 years of doing roughly the same thing! But so fun.  I hope to improve daily.

In April Clara, Ashtyn, John, and Corrine planted some sunflower seeds they swiped from the neighbors birdfeeder. Well, they made it through.  

 Fun huh!

Southern Utah Trip

Before we moved to Californian for Kelly's medical school. We took a trip down to southern Utah with my parents. Clara was just turning one. I recall some nice Asians were excited to photograph such a blond little baby. The top it Kelly at the Grand Canyon, and the bottom photo is at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes.

 We love our Primary Children! It is fun to see pensive Brayden, Scott leading the group, eager Rabeecca,, Happy Braxton, and goofy Lincoln.

Sad News

 My camera's shutter is shot. I plan on sending it in to get fixed. It has been a long five days. I took these just before it broke...
In the interim plan on posting some old photos just for kicks. 

I planted some bulbs a long time ago. This thing came up in exact places I planted. I go back and forth not knowing for sure if it is a weed, or a flower I don't like. 

4 Wheeling

 We headed out to the Grandparents house so Dad could fix their computer. While that was taking place we headed out on a ride. Big blue sky. John ran around in purposeful mis-matched-shoes. He had a great time throwing big sticks in the canal. Clara made friends with the new kittens. Margaret ended it with a refreshing drink at Grandmas counter.

Craters of the Moon

It was so fun to ride down to Craters of the Moon. We went at the peak of the flower season and I have to say it was interesting. Not what you would think. Scale is difficult to show in the photographs. The last photo is the ceiling of the lava tube. The day was hot but fun. Fun to listen to Mrs Piggly Wiggly, fun to eat in the parking lot, fun to make a new friend in Amy, fun to walk thought caves, and finally fun to be together.
