Playgroup
Clara and I went to a cute playgroup the other day. Brittany had lots of fun toys and snacks. We did a cute little rhyming activity. I had a tricky time in keeping Clara from straying to far away. In the first photo you can see her with a yellow broom in the distance. We are excited to do it more often!

Sledding
Christmas Morning
It was such a great Christmas. We talked to James and watched the children play with the toys. Plus, it snowed! Every year Mom makes these amazing turnovers from scratch. They are a lot of work. I am grateful to my parents for the wonderful example of work and making holidays an elegantly beautiful and happy experience for all. I want to be just like them.

Christmas Eve
All us mom's attempted to get a good Grandchild photo but it was thwarted by low lighting conditions and Clara. She was only happy being held. Lauren and I made some more bag lanterns to put on my mom's window box and front steps. They looked great. Clara was Mary for the family Nativity. We rang the bells and sang some more. We ate soup in bread bowls and had Bree. I love Bree!
Good Hours
I had for my winter evening walk—
No one at all with whom to talk,
But I had the cottages in a row
Up to their shining eyes in snow.
And I thought I had the folk within:
I had the sound of a violin;
I had a glimpse through curtain laces
Of youthful forms and youthful faces.
I had such company outward bound.
I went till there were no cottages found.
I turned and repented, but coming back
I saw no window but that was black.
Over the snow my creaking feet
Disturbed the slumbering village street
Like profanation, by your leave,
At ten o'clock of a winter eve.

Family Home Evening
The Monday before Christmas my parents have the tradition of going caroling with some of friends around the neighborhood. After we got back we snacked on hot chocolate and donuts and then we play with my Dad's incredible Lionel train. Then we ring bells and sing some more! It is so fun.
