Calf Creek

Settler's early use of Calf Creek was for weaned calves. They were turned into the natural pasture created by the box canyon, hence the name "Calf Creek." The creek runs on the sandstone filtering it to make a very clean, clear water. Next time I want to camp so I can take the time to go up to the falls. It was hot and Clara was the only one that got the shade. Look underneath the picnic table!

Oh how I miss So. Utah! The picture of m,d,k & c standing in the river looks like the Virgin river near Zion. I know it isn't, but it looks like it. Too bad you weren't able to go to the falls. You would have loved them. I loved them as a little girl and probably still would if I were to visit again.

Wow, we are jealous that you got to see all those places. We drove to Arizona last month and went right past all of them. The family looks great! If you are ever in Idaho Falls, call us.
