Santa Lucia Day

Today is Santa Lucia Day. A holiday of Light. It is a Scandinavian tradition where the youngest girl of the home goes around dressed in a crown of candles and a white robe with a red sash. She wakes everyone singing carols and gives freshly baked rolls. Lauren had given me a crown and I made scones because they are quicker! If you have heard of the American Girl doll Kirsten, she celebrates it in Kirsten's Surprise. It is fun and a tradition that I hope to continue!

You should all be impressed. Sally woke up without any help from me(probably the hardest thing for her to do)and had breakfast ready by 6:30. AM!!!! She was a sweetheart!

Sally, you're making us other wives look bad! That's okay Mitch doesn't eat breakfast anyways, so I'm set for life! Your scones look really good!
