Octahedron
This is the second mobile we have put up for Eliza! The verdict is out as to what she thinks of it but here is a link to Margaret's turn with it.
Kelly and I made the rattle Eliza is holding in the second photograph. We had made it for Margaret but didn't use it at all. Eliza has enjoyed it a lot. We made it to be very light and narrow she could hold it and move it around despite not having very much arm and hand strength. I am so glad I found it at the right time for her to use! Time passes so quickly.

Drinking Juice
This has been such a fun activity! I told the kids that if they squeezed a cup full of orange juice they could use these straw glasses to drink it with. Margaret called them Harry Potter glasses. It was such a long straw that is took a lot of suction to drink up the juice, hence the puckering faces. But all of them had a good time doing it and I enjoyed watching.

Hang On the Walls of Your Mind
I hung up some pictures in Eliza's room and I thought this quote went really well with this photograph. I have posted it before here but thought it wouldn't hurt to post it again!
James Whistler :
"Hang on the walls of your mind the memory of your successes. Take counsel of your strength, not your weakness. Think of the good jobs you have done. Think of the times when you rose above your average level of performance and carried out an idea or a dream or a desire for which you had deeply longed. Hang these pictures on the walls of your mind and look at them as you travel the roadway of life."

Merry Christmas
Our Christmas was wonderful. I was pleased to feel relaxed and really just enjoyed the day. After a lovely morning we headed to Kelly's folks house to have a party with the family. They are all so kind and fun to visit with. The Hoggards paid us a visit also. We enjoyed a nice meal with them and shared the annual yule log. We had many of our new neighbors bring us treats but the biggest hit was cookies that the children could paint. The kids left them for Santa and I am sure he appreciated there artwork!

Munari Moblie
We have our mobile up and it is so interesting to see how Eliza reacts to it. She is older then Margaret was when we put it up for her but I think Eliza enjoyed has enjoyed it more. This is the link to the photos I took of Margaret.
