Blue Soccer

 John and Margaret did soccer! They had a great time. John was team red and Margaret was team purple. Margaret wants to do it again. John's team got second. Margaret climbed on her friends backs during the game and had some fun chit chats. She did really well when she was put on for forward. i had a good time coming up with fun picnic meals. I really went all out. chicken salad sandwiches, tomato soup, even cafe rio once.
I alway like it when there is a visual theme to my posts. It is fun to see the blue. I was sad not to get a good photo of Margaret. Especially since she was key player.

Dahlias and Zinnias

 I am so into dahlias. Zinnias are just so so handy to have. I feel like fresh flowers are so so much of a luxury.

Hail Storm

Eliza Post

 She is in Preschool and loving it! She always wears dresses and says pants are boy cloths. It makes me happy. She is smart and resourceful. She cries when she doesn't understand things. She feeds the kitty and is thrilled to get the chicken eggs from the coop. I bought the little table for Marie but it has been a game changer for Eliza. She just loves it.
She was with me out in the garden and she came up and said " If someone asked me to pet a worm, I would say no. If someone asked me to pet the bunny I would say yes."  I still get a kick out of that! Perfect! There is so much we love about Eliza.

  I was weeding the beets and I got a huge scare. I screamed. It was unnerving to see the ground wobble. Yuck. It turned out it was toad. Good ol' Trevor. You know. Harry Potter.

First Day of School

 Clara's 2nd year of middle school. John's and Margaret's 2nd year in there new school. This year is the first time I feel like I am not going through a big transition.  Man, it's sad that it took 9 years. But we are glad to have nice people and nice places to be. 

Uno

  Marie has been a dream baby. For the first 3 months she didn't have a blowout. She maybe spit up 5 times tops. It was unreal. It was the best. It was easy to take care of her because she was comfortable with other people. The kids loved helping her. We had way less laundry. We could cuddle her without fear that we would get messy. And she smelled like baby powder and lotion. AMAZING!!
 For her first birthday we did the personality test birthday grab. We put Marie in front of many different items to see what she would choose first. The first two times she picked the recorder. The third she chose the calculator. I wonder if she thought the calculator was a phone.
I don't' know but I think I am right.
She is sweet and happy. We just love her!

John is 10

 Never a better boy! He is so capable, smart and thoughtful. We love having him around. He really likes computer games and crystals. He is a fast runner and very talented. We are so glad that he is in our life.
