Italy Day 2

Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli; Quite and peaceful.
Colosseum; Stunning to see for the first time.
Forum; All ruined! But exceeded my expectation.
Fountain of Trevi; Beautiful, shining, and packed!

Italy Day 1

We started the day at home and ended the day in Rome. We had a small layover in Paris and I got a hazy glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. When we got to Rome we dropped off our bags and headed out to the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. A long day but very exciting.

Eliza's First Birthday

We had a great time lavishing our love on this darling. She really a nice personality and has mannerisms that remind me of Clara and John. We blew up lots of balloons for her to play in. She would really get her arms moving to bat them away. We have her some bongo drums, and some small maracas that have been a big hit. Margaret picked out a fun plastic ball and Clara gave her these Russian nesting dolls that she is trying to get open. Eliza is so special to us. Since she is ours we can, and do, reserve the right to call her the best baby! Happy Birthday Eliza!

Bsu

Margaret is becoming kinder and smarter every day. I enjoy seeing her play with the music maker and figuring out the little tunes. The other day she came to me and said "Mom, I can spell bus! BUUUSSS!"  She taped it to my closet door. I am so pleased.

CTR 5

We had a lesson on talents. It was one of the best! I brought my camera and they asked for me to take a picture. I had called their parents earlier in the week and asked what talents they had and then we had a guessing game. it was a big hit. I love these children so much!

Picking Peaches

On my birthday we had the best time striping our tree of the unexpected bounty. They tasted so good! It was fun to see toothless Eliza pound a whole peach. While John was picking he accidentally knocked one down right on Clara's head! She is so good natured.  It was such a great birthday gift!
