Zion

It was a beautiful day at Zion. We have been Eastering in Zion since before my father was born. The same spot, same day and mostly the same food. Over the years we have come to feel a sense of ownership over the park. It is like our back yard. The first photo is our family at the grotto picnic area. The second a type of desert oak, I forgot the name. The last photo is of lichen; it is a indication of good air quality.

Egg Hunt

My family has this tradition of taking photos on the steps of my Grandmas house before we let the kids loose for the egg hunt. Clara cryed every time we put her down to take photos. Back to front, right to left. Tate, James, Ty. Sydney, Kassie, Caroline, Maryn, Jackson. Ben, Seth, Clara, Carter.

Coral

These are things that I found at my Grandma house. I think coral is very fascinating and beautiful.

Hunting Eggs

Basket

This was my plan with they wheat grass. The eggs kind of sink into the grass more then I expected but I think it looks really cute.

Egg Dying

My good friend Tosha Williams and I dyed Easter eggs today. So fun!!! Tosha taught me a new technique. I love my Jackson Pollack egg and the volcano egg. I think the dinosaur egg (red and yellow) is cool too. So bright and so fun.

Cupcake

For Young Women's we had a planning meeting. We talked about the activities that we had had, asked if they liked them and planned new activities. I brought these cupcakes. Green for St. Patrick's Day.

Daniel John Denning

I went down to Salt Lake Thursday because Lauren had her little boy. He is so cute. We had a great time taking photos of him. He has a little jaundice and has to have the bilirubin light on him for just one more day we think. He looks like he is brothers with James. 6 pounds 10 ounces. Congrats Lolly and Kip!

Forced Blooms

Some of the branches that I am forcing are blooming. It is so fun. It has really helped me to get through this last ugly month happily. I went and cut the branches from some local businesses. Kelly thinks I am a rebel. I didn't know that pussy willows pollinated? Weird

Valentines Day Pj's

So my Dad said that the only thing missing from my blog are photos of Kelly and me. With that said I am posting another photo of Clara. I took it today. I have such a great time taking them of her. Taking photos is one of the only things I can do in the winter that doesn't involve money, a car, or/and being outside. Sorry about the redundency but it most likely won't be the last. Plus I really like it.

About Me

I got Tagged 3 different ones in the same day. Weird. I will do some of them when I get the incling. Here goes the first one.

10 years ago I was:
I was in the 8th grade, just coming out of that ugly stage. Before I had cheesy glasses, braces, big bangs. By 8th grade I had contacts strait teeth and long hair.

5 things on my 'to do' list today:
1. Make dinner
2. Fold laundry
3. wash the dishes
4. take care of Clara
5. pay some bills

Things I would do if I became a billionaire:
I would buy a house for Kelly and I, I would pay off my student loans. Buy a Toyota Tacoma and a Nissan Murano. I would got to Murano with Kelly, sorry folks, you just got back... I would buy our little family a whole new wardrobe. I would buy Kelly a new computer and me a large format camera, more lenses for my digital, and new furniture. Then I would donate a lot of it to the perpetual education fund and some to BYU-I photo department, Granite High School and Mill Creek Elementary. Then I think i would like invest it is the stock market and a lot of small businesses that need a jump start. I would put a lot of it away so we would be set for life. Then I would want to throw a family reunion in Europe. I could go on because a billion dollars is a lot of money but I think maybe after that I would be thoroughly prideful and not appreciate what I do have. Hopefully I can have most of those things in time and with a lot of work . Plus, I will keep my soul.

3 of my bad habits:
1. Sleeping in to late
2. not being very disciplined
3. spelling very poorly

5 places I've lived:
1. Panguitch
2. Cedar City
3. Iris Lane SLC
4. Melvina SLC
5. La Jolla Rexburg
6. Pocatello

5 jobs I've had:
1. Pride Cleaners
2. Photo Lab BYU-I
3. Title One
4. Great Harvest
5. Washington Federal

Something most people don't know about me:
I like Star Trek the Next Generation but I would never dream of going to a convention. I was way to obsessed with Harry Potter, I would get on HP Lexicon way before it was complete and any good and now that there over I don't think there as cool. White is my favorite color. I wish I could have majored in three things in collage, Accounting Economics and Photography. I did a two year degree in photo (should have done 4 years) and an extension in business (waste of time except the econ classes that i took and the accounting class. It wasn't a waste complete waste of time because as a result I found out I should have done something else.) :)

Valentines Day

Kelly gave me a dozen roses for Valentines day. I got him a soda mug that he wanted. Clara got PJ's. We all got new socks. We had a great evening at home. Blue Cheese Stakes, sauted carrots, salad, and potatoes, and mom and dads' grape juice. We also watched Senindipity. I love Kelly so much. I am so greatful for all that he does for me.

Spring

The first one is a pussy willow. The second I am not sure but I hope that it will bloom. I am so excited for spring to come so I can take Clara out on walks again.

Food Storage

I have been working on building up our food storage. I go to the dry pack cannery every month and buy all this wheat. It has been fun to explore different things you can do with it. Besides just makeing flour i have cooked it like rice, sprouted it and now I am growing it for a easter basket. I know it is a little early but I don't mind trimming it a couple of times. I am excited to dye easter eggs so I can hide them in it and use it as a display in Young Womens!

Young Women Mice

For Young Womens one of our girl's mother showed us how to make these Chocolate Mice. We had a really great time makeing them. They are a mericino cherrie diped in chocolate with a kiss as the the head and nose. The eyes are just black food coloring and the ears are peanuts. So easy so fun! Thanks Debbie and Tristin!

Curlers

Grandma Mary gave Clara these fabulous curlers. I had the greatest time putting them in her hair and then taking photos of her. We got nine in her hair. How many 7 month old babies can have that many curlers in their hair? Clara was sitting on my lap while I was looking at the photos and she started getting so excited! Bouncing and reaching for the screen. She loved looking at photos of herself! I know I am going to love putting them in there her hair all the time. Thanks Mom!!

Amaryllis

This is my Christmas Amaryllis. It is so fun to watch them grow. Over Christmas it went from being two inchs tall to twelve. If you take care of them they can bloom every year.

Double Take

I was going along cleaning and I saw this!!!

but all I really saw was this ...
I don't like spiders. I used to just kill them in a reaction of fear, now i just run and tell Kelly where it is.
