Young Women Mice

For Young Womens one of our girl's mother showed us how to make these Chocolate Mice. We had a really great time makeing them. They are a mericino cherrie diped in chocolate with a kiss as the the head and nose. The eyes are just black food coloring and the ears are peanuts. So easy so fun! Thanks Debbie and Tristin!

Curlers

Grandma Mary gave Clara these fabulous curlers. I had the greatest time putting them in her hair and then taking photos of her. We got nine in her hair. How many 7 month old babies can have that many curlers in their hair? Clara was sitting on my lap while I was looking at the photos and she started getting so excited! Bouncing and reaching for the screen. She loved looking at photos of herself! I know I am going to love putting them in there her hair all the time. Thanks Mom!!

Amaryllis

This is my Christmas Amaryllis. It is so fun to watch them grow. Over Christmas it went from being two inchs tall to twelve. If you take care of them they can bloom every year.

Double Take

I was going along cleaning and I saw this!!!

but all I really saw was this ...
I don't like spiders. I used to just kill them in a reaction of fear, now i just run and tell Kelly where it is.

Grandma Clara and Clara

It was Baby Clara's 1st Christmas so I wanted to be sure to get some fabulouse photos of her with the gifts, family, etc... I took one photo (this one) and my battery went dead. When she grows up and asks why I didn't document every second of her first Christmas I will tell her that one is better then none.

Santa Lucia Day

Today is Santa Lucia Day. A holiday of Light. It is a Scandinavian tradition where the youngest girl of the home goes around dressed in a crown of candles and a white robe with a red sash. She wakes everyone singing carols and gives freshly baked rolls. Lauren had given me a crown and I made scones because they are quicker! If you have heard of the American Girl doll Kirsten, she celebrates it in Kirsten's Surprise. It is fun and a tradition that I hope to continue!

Christmas Photos

Tuesday Emily and I had the project of taking photo for Christmas. It was kind of a rough day for all. Emily asked if I took a class on photographing children. I wish I would have. I love the way children's skin glows. The oldest is Allison and then Dallin.

Toothbrush

This is the frist time Clara has ever fallen asleep with anything in her hand. Emily Keele gave her her first toothbrush and she loves it! Kelly says that he thinks she is going to be a Dentist.

Rice Cereal

This past week we started Clara on rice cereal. She liked it the first day but every other day she made lots of "this stuff is gross" looks. Maybe it was a novelty the first day? She has been interested in food from the time she could see it so I decided to wait no longer.

Pink

I would say that Pink is Clara's color. With few exceptions, most everything in her closet has pink in it. I love it!

Fall

It seemed liked in one day all the leaves came off the trees.
Kelly and I took James back last night to his parents in Salt Lake after they got back from a trip to Italy. It was so fun to see him get so happy to see his folks after a rough day at our house. They brought back some cool stuff for us too!

More of James

We went up to the church to have James run around and get all his energy out but he just stuck to me like glue. He is getting used to the camera and is really interested in it. You can see the lens cap in his hand in the first photo.

How James is doing...

Kelly and I are watching our nephew James Denning, Lauren's little boy, while most of my family is on a trip to Italy. Watching him makes me feel apart of the fabulous fun they are having. He is a happy sweet boy that has a lot of energy. I am surprised with how tired I am and how enjoyable it is. He likes the tub and he likes pumpkins.

Faces

Clara has always been a looker. Looking around not missing much but now she is getting to be quite animated. These are some of her fun expressions.

Cupcake Hoodie

On Wednesday the 26th Clara learned to roll over! She can do a 180* and back. She doesn't do it all the time, just once in a while. They say when they start to roll over that is when they learn to sit up.

Locked out

I go on walks with Clara. One day we set out with my camera and a water bottle at around 11 am, planning to come back at 12, and didn't come back until about 5:00 pm. By the time Kelly came and got me from Aunt Non's I was very beat and very hungry.Clara and I had walked around the neighborhood and took some photos of homes. This is one of my favorite homes here in Pocatello. Even though I think it probably is small, I don't think I would mind living in that house.

New Outfit

Clara is getting ready for Halloween. She really likes the new outfit that Aunt Non got for her. The dress on the witch flips up to reveal orange shorts. Clara is likes to play with it.

GHS ' 02 5 year Class Reuion

On Saturday we had a Luau for our reunion. Is was sunny and hot. They roasted a pig and had a dancing contest. The pig was very good. It was fun to see people and help out. It is kind of funny to look back and remember what it was like and how people are different. I hope I am a little different too. I made some mistakes but had a lot of good moments and fun times. I had to take off early to take care of my daughter but Colette, Val, and Shannon (Left to right) came over for a little bit and talked with me. I was really glad I went!
