Italy Day 4

 Vatican City.
I was glad we were able to get a sneak peak of Raphael's Transfiguration. It was so large and colorful even from another room. Caravaggio's Entombment of Christ was moving and very fine.
Homer,Athena and the Lancoon were nice to see as well. The line to see the Sistine Chaple was massive. We wish we would have know the short cut Dad and Mom took!

Italy Day 3

 

This is the day we went to Pompeii and rode the Amalfi Coast. What those Romans could do was amazing. Antonio was our guide at Pompeii and Stephano was our driver. The road to Positano was so tight we were glad we weren't driving. At times were within an inch of other cars on the right and left. But once we got there Kelly immediately said that he would want to go back to Positano. it was so bright warm and darling.



Italy Day 2

Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli; Quite and peaceful.
Colosseum; Stunning to see for the first time.
Forum; All ruined! But exceeded my expectation.
Fountain of Trevi; Beautiful, shining, and packed!

Italy Day 1

We started the day at home and ended the day in Rome. We had a small layover in Paris and I got a hazy glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. When we got to Rome we dropped off our bags and headed out to the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. A long day but very exciting.
