New House

 We are so excited to be here! It is a beautiful area to live in and we have some space to do some fun things in the future. Unpacking is slow in comparison to how fast I unpacked other times. I feel the house is far from being put together. But it is all such a big blessing. The dear Lord gives us much and Kelly and I intend on using it for good!

Fifth House

Pocatello was a wonderful place. I am so glad I could be and live there. We had the best landlord ever. We had great neighbors and a great ward. It was so fun to be a part of the residency. I loved the variety of hikes that we could go on. I also loved that most homes had a view. There is so much to love about Pocatello and I am glad that I have learned to love it!

Expressions

  I love to hear Margaret say "Oh, cute yawning!" whenever she sees Eliza yawn. She also is so darling when Eliza gets the hiccups saying "Oh, it's hard to have the hiccups." But the thing that gets me the most is when she gets excited because "She touched me!"

Halloween

 We had a black cat, firefighter with a broken arm, and a cute little lady bug. Eliza was pumpkin but we didn't get a picture. We celebrated by going to the elementary carnival and trunk or treating with the ward. All went well. I feel like I had the best time because I passed out the candy.

Flower Arranging

 I bought some flowers to cheer the table up. When they had gone the way of all the earth Margaret came in with a handful of flowers and weeds. She got a cup full of water and arranged her bouquet. After a couple of days she noticed that the water was looking "yucky." She changed the water and brought new life back to her blooms. I was impressed by her desire for beauty and the initiative she took to make our home a more lovely place.

Baby Dear

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is a sibling.

Eliza

 Eliza was 7.2 pounds and 20 inches long. We all love her so dearly. We are amazed with all the blond hair. She tears up and spits up. Both of which are new to us. We are excited to watch and see the person that she will become.
I have so many tender feelings and so many wishes and hopes for Eliza. I am far from able to express them. But this poem/ hymn by Samuel Longfellow touches on some of them.

Go forth to life, O child of earth!
Still mindful of thy heav’nly birth;
Thou art not here for ease, or sin,
But manhood’s noble crown to win.

Tho’ passion’s fires are in thy soul,
Thy spirit can their flames control;
Tho’ tempters strong beset thy way,
Thy spirit is more strong than they.

Go on from innocence of youth
 To manly pureness, manly truth;
God’s angels still are near to save,
And God Himself doth help the brave.

Then forth to life, O child of earth!
Be worthy of thy heav’nly birth!
For noble service thou art here;
Thy brothers help, thy God revere!

Conference Mints

I was still able to watch some of conference even though Eliza came Saturday morning. I was moved by Elder Holland's talk Behold Thy Mother that I found so fitting for the day. I was amazed when he pointed out words the Savior used and words for child birth. It was a lovely tribute to mothers.
I always love eating these mints and in a bowl made by my son. What could be better?

Felicity

 I think this little darling looks just like her Dad! Congrats to the Mitch and Lindsey. We are so happy for them.

Resonator Bells

For my birthday Kelly gave me a set of bells. We have used them every Sunday thus far. With the excellent help of Lauren we have played Sunbeam, The Wise Man, Oh Beautiful, Edlewiess, You Are My Sunshine, and Home on the Range. It has been so fun. I can't wait to use them for Christmas!
