 None of these photos are what I consider art. I would say my parents have perfected the art of get-togethers. Good food, excellent people (if I say so my self), fun little foot races.

Wagon Rides

This red wagon has been so great to have. Used for this and this. We also like to see how they are made!

Trees

The Oak is called the king of trees, The Aspen quivers in the breeze, The Poplar grows up straight and tall, The Peach tree spreads along the wall, The Sycamore gives pleasant shade, The Willow droops in watery glade, The Fir tree useful in timber gives, The Beech amid the forest lives.   By Sara Coleridge

Rain Watching

This dahlia my Mom brought up on Labor Day is perfection. Wouldn't you agree that dahlias have a delicate sculptural depth that is exciting and compelling?

Pipes

One of my first posts on the blog was a scan of a silver print of pipes. I still like it.

My Birthday

 Kelly made me a great breakfast. The children gave me Hungry Hungry Hippos and Kelly gave me some ramekins and a 16GB card. Fast and Testimony meeting was wonderful and nursery was memorable. After church we drove out to Corey and Eileen's and had a roast and banana cream pie. Later we went out on the 4 wheeler and I got to take photos. It was hot and hazy. I loved the whole day.

1st Day for a 1st Grader

 New school. New teacher. Clara gets to ride the bus. She is more capable and more kind. We pray that she will be watched over and be a force for good.

Green Beans

There is no comfort like home. Kelly was anxious to check out his garden and to have green beans for dinner!

Going Home

Air and Art Festival

I was giddy with excitement to see the hot air balloons. I wish we would have been there 10 min earlier. It was a tricky to get up and packed before we left but I was so glad we went! Everyone was looking up!

McDowell Falls Again

Thursday we went hiking and wading. Clara, John and Margaret got soaked but the water was warm and shallow. Perfect for wading. The huge leaves were fun and Riley did some bench presses. It was very fun to be out with the Greaves in a lovely setting.

Wacky!

 For more then a year Clara and John have talked about The Wacky Bounce in Corvallis. So the Greaves joined us and we had a great time!

Rose Garden

While at the International Rose Test Garden Julie let me test out her amazing new lens. That is how good she is to me! I wasn't able to fully get a feel for it before duty and hunger called us away to Subway. I did have a good time and am so grateful for the opportunity. Let do it again soon Julie!

Washington City Park

There is always a lot of fun things to do in Portland. While waiting for my intimate friend Julie to arrive we stopped in at the Japanese Garden. Beautiful. If I could any type of garden for my yard I would make it like that Japanese garden. When Julie arrived we met at a charming park just south of the International Test Gardens. The children played for a while and we started madly chatting. When the children were ready for a change we went and photographed roses!
