Finley

Rachael was so nice to let me come over and take photos of her darling Finley. It was a lot of fun to take photos of a small little baby again.

Broken Arm

Clara got a buckle fracture. I think the pink with purple heart cast is so cute. Clara rubbed it and said "beautiful" with her cute little inflection. It was hard to see her get hurt and take her to the ER. I am glad that she will be able to heal with some protection.

Bucket

A collage friend made an image similar to this when she was in high school. This photo reminds me of her.

Blankets

On Mom's machine I sewed the edges on these flannel blankets I made. I am so excited to have a little boy. We are naming him John and he is due Aug 21.

Easter Weekend

We normally go to Zion the Saturday before Easter but this year it was cold and rainy. Instead we had fun in the ward building. Mom makes bunny and flower cookies. We ate sandwiches and taco salad on the same tablecloths as always. This year the children had a Easter parade and made cute bonnets for it. Jill brought Easter Ponatona (so good, thanks Jill) and somehow all of my parents grandchildren that stayed for Sunday coordinated!
I think it is interesting to notice that in three of the photos that I picked for this post the background has images of the Savior.

Madison again

Such a little angel to be around.

Wintergreen Lozenges

I love having these mints to munch on during Conference.

Easter Eggs

I went for solids this year and I love it!!! I also tried buying brown eggs just to see what it would be like. The bottom photo shows the brown eggs on the top row and the white egg in the same dye on the second row. I think it is fascinating and beautiful seeing the difference in color.
I missed doing it with you Tosha!

Aquarium of the Pacifc

We searched down one of Kelly's Dad's old homes on his mission and it was right by the aquarium so we headed there after. It is so fun to see so many different kinds of animals. I also loved petting the stingrays and sharks. Clara is standing by the sea lion tank.

Spring Break

Kelly's parents are here to visit so the last two days have been really fun. Yesterday we went down to Hollywood Blvd, the Temple, the Farmers Market and the Page Museum at La Brea Tar Pits. Today we went to Disneyland.
The skulls are just a part of a 404 piece display that shows the amount and diversity of one specific type of Dire Wolf that would get stuck in the tar pits. It is thought that they would get trapped eating other animals that were trapped. I thought that it was interesting that the minor differences in the skulls helps them get info about wolf evolution and population.

Shriveled Onion

I think it is kind of interesting the way this onion dried up.

Ballet and Tap

My cute friend Natalie is giving free dance lessons and they start this week. I am so excited! The shoes and leotard don't really come in Clara's size but I didn't mind because she will just grow in and out of them before I know it. I am not really expecting anything because she isn't even two. Early I know, but who cares! She looks beautiful.
I know I went overboard on the photos.

White-lined Sphinx Moth

I really don't even know how to figure out what this is. Any education will be appreciated.
This Morning it was chilling in our stairwell so I caught it and brought it in to show the girls. They both really liked it. Especially when it would flap its wings. Clara was also amazed when I showed her the photos. I was like a light clicked "Hey, we just let that go..."
