I was amazed with the Rhododendron. It looked like it was covered in glitter. Fine, gorgeous glitter. And it the morning light it looked like diamonds. I am amazed by the flora southern California has to offer on a daily basis.
I think the first one looks like fireworks. The second was taken a while back. The other three were taken on Saturday at a lagoon by Uncle Jimmy's house.
Some more "baby" John photos. Look at that chapped cheek! I have been enjoying some of those I'll Love you Forever moments when you just sit and hold your sleeping baby. I don't get them as often as I want but I eat them up when they come. Have you ever heard that John Lennon song Beautiful Boy? I had never thought of a boy as being beautiful before John came into my life.
As a little girl my Grandma Dorothy had this Big Golden Book copy of Cinderella and I just loved it. The illustrations appealed to me in particular. I search for a while to find the big copy and I am so glad because Clara loves it just as much as I did. It makes me really happy to share books that I love with her.
With the doctor clearing me for daily activities we took it easy and just went outside today. We had a great time exploring. The weather was so nice. Clara is getting really curious and really liked popping the berries. I was a little bugged when she poked her finger in and smashed my mushroom.
Butterflies are known for their unusual life cycle that includes a spectacular metamorphosis from caterpillar to a colorful winged adult. They have an erratic yet graceful flight pattern that attracts attention when they pass. The Ancient Greek word for butterfly is psȳchē, which means soul. I particularly admire their symmetry and kaleidoscope of colors.
